The hunt is a way in, never a gate. Buy any number of specimens directly and the contract assigns the lowest unclaimed ids. This path is always payable — the free catch belongs to the field.

The id on the animal is the id you get. It is not a random draw dressed up as a game — the contract mints that exact token.
One free catch per wallet
Free while the window is open. A failed grab costs nothing but gas: if someone beats you to an id, your free catch stays unspent.
A caught specimen is gone
Claimed ids never respawn. Two wallets racing for the same animal means the first confirmed transaction wins and the other reverts.
Trading is open
No transfer lock, no soulbound clause, and no owner switch to add one later. Sell or move your specimens whenever you like.
